Juan J. Alarcón Sainz y Pablo A. Torijano:  "La Historia de los Rekabitas". Introducción, traducción y notas  

Resumen: La "Historia de los Rekabitas" es un pseudoepígrafo que procede de fuentes judías. En su estado actual, el texto ha sido cristianizado tanto en su transmisión textual como en el tema. En este artículo ofrecemos una introducción y una traducción española anotada de las versiones griega y siriaca dispuesta en columnas paralelas. Esta presentación sinóptica facilita el estudio del texto y evidencia el carácter expansivo de la versión siriaca.

Abstract: The History of the Rekabites is a pseudepigraphon that draws extensively on Jewish sources. In its present state, it has been christianized both in its textual transmission and in its theme. In this article, we present an introduction and an annotated translation into Spanish of the Greek and the Syriac versions in parallel columns. This synoptic presentation facilitates the study of the text and makes evident the expansive character of the Syriac version.

Vassilios Christides: Religious Syncretism in the Near East: Allat-Athena in Palmyra 

Resumen: El propósito del presente artículo es examinar aquellos problemas relativos a la fusión Allat-Athena, centrándose en el caso de Palmira. Ha de tenerse en cuenta, para ello, que los griegos no establecieron dogmas religiosos, asunto que queda confirmado, incluso, en un detallado análisis de los atributos de Athena. Vaya por delante que el autor no pretende ofrecer un tratamiento exhaustivo de las representaciones artísticas de la fusión Allat-Athena.

Abstract: The aim of the present article is to examine those problems concerning the so-called Allat-Athena, focusing on the case of Palmyra. It should be taken into account that the Greeks did not have any fixed religious dogmas, a matter that has been confirmed even through a detailed analysis of the attributes of Athena. It is not the purpose of the present author to give any exhaustive treatment of the artistic representations of the so-called Allat-Athena cluster.

Manuel Marcos Aldón: Dos miniaturas del ms. Vaticano Copto 9 (año 1204-1205)  

Resumen: Análisis de dos miniaturas, san Lucas con el ángel y san Juan con la Virgen, en el ms. Vat. Copt. 9, centrado en los frontispicios de los respectivos evangelios.

Abstract: This is an analysis of two miniatures, St. Luke with the angel and St. John with the Virgin in the MS Vat. Copt. 9, focused on the frontispieces of the respective Gospels.

Lorena Miralles Maciá: Un Mesías en los escritos rabínicos: De los «días del Mesías» al Mesías con características y nombre propios  

Resumen: En el presente estudio pretendemos aproximarnos a las características del Mesías en la literatura rabínica, desde la expresión "en los días del Mesías" hasta una caracterización más profunda. En los testimonios de los rabinos se descubren opiniones contradictorias, bien por cuestiones religiosas o bien por políticas, pero que conforman la imagen de un Mesías mucho más complejo, al que se le identifica con un nombre y una estirpe concretos.

Abstract: We attempt to approach in this paper the characteristics of Messiah in Rabbinical literature, starting from the expression in the "Messiah's days" till a further deep characterization. Rabbinical testimonies reveal contradictory opinions, not only because of religious questions, but also of political ones. These opinions raise the image of a more complex Messiah , who is identified with a name and a particular lineage.

Juan Pedro Monferrer-Sala: Liber Iob detractus apud Sin. Ar. 1. Notas en torno a la Vorlage siriaca de un manuscrito árabe cristiano (s. IX)  

Resumen: El texto fragmentario del libro de Job contenido en el Sinaiticus Arabicus 1 es la continuación de otro fragmento manuscrito, el ar. 1475 (= Add. 16116) de la British Library, junto con el que forma una misma versión. Esta traducción árabe parece haber sido realizada a partir de la versión siro-hexaplar, pero habiéndose servido el traductor, además, de otras versiones siriacas.

Abstract: The fragmented text of the Book of Job which appears in the Sinaiticus Arabicus 1 is the sequel of another handwritten fragment, ar. 1475 (= Add. 16116) of the British Library, that goes together with the former in the same version. This Arabic translation seems to have been done from the Syro-hexaplar version. It is shown here that the translator has also made use of other Syriac versions.

Mayte Penelas: Novedades sobre el «Texto mozárabe de historia universal» de Qayrawan  

Resumen: En este artículo se analizan dos páginas del "texto mozárabe de historia universal" de Qayrawan -actualmente en el Museo de Arte Islámico de Raqqada- no editadas por G. Levi Della Vida. Los contenidos de estas dos páginas confirman su dependencia de fuentes latinas, pero también nos enseñan su afinidad con otras obras árabes que se ocupan de la época preislámica y la conquista de al-Andalus, revelando así la importancia de este texto tan peculiar en el ámbito de la historiografía andalusí.

Abstract: In this article two pages of the "Mozarabic text of world history" of Qayrawan which were not edited by G. Levi Della Vida are examined. The contents of these two pages of the text -preserved nowadays at the Museum of Islamic Art of Raqqada- support its derivation from Latin sources, but also show us its similarity with other Arabic texts that deal with pre-Islamic times and the conquest of al-Andalus, hence revealing the significance of this peculiar text in the field of Andalusi historiography.

Francisco Del Río Sánchez: Un debate entre Elías de Nísibe y el visir Ibn 'Alî al-Magribî (417H-1026 d. C.)  

Resumen: Traducción comentada de un debate sobre la unicidad de Dios y la Trinidad que tuvo lugar durante el año 1026 entre el metropolitano Elías de Nísibe y el visir musulmán Abû l-Qâsim Ibn 'Alî al-Magribî. Destaca por la moderación, el nivel de las reflexiones, la firme decisión de evitar polémicas inútiles y el deseo de usar un vocabulario común. Ambos interlocutores se encuentran familiarizados con las categorías del contrario.

Abstract: This is a translation with commentaries of a debate on the unicity of God and Trinity that took place in the year 1026 between the metropolitan Elias of Nisibis and the muslim visir Abû l-Qâsim Ibn 'Alî al-Magribî. Such a debate can be highlighted for its moderate tone, the high standards of the reflections, the firm determination of ignoring sterile polemics as well as the desire of making avail of common vocabulary. Both speakers are familiar with the categories used by the opponent.

Philippe Roisse: La circulation du savoir des Arabes chrétiens en Méditerranée médiévale. Approche des sources manuscrites 

Resumen: En este artículo ofrecemos una valoración general de la producción árabe cristiana originada o llegada a los países mediterráneos, incidiendo en la relación de dependencia existente entre la elaboración y la copia de manuscritos con la transmisión del saber durante la Edad Media.

Abstract: In this article we attempt a general approach to the Christian Arabic texts which were written in the Mediterranean countries or to those that reached them. We touch upon the dependence relation between manuscripts' elaboration and copy with the transmission of knowledge through the Middle Ages.

Sofía Torallas Tovar: La situación lingüística en los monasterios egipcios en los siglos IV-V  

Resumen: Esta contribución no pretende ser sino una primera aproximación a la situación lingüística en el ámbito monástico egipcio de los siglos IV-V. Diversos testimonios apuntan a la existencia de intérpretes, de grupos organizados por lenguas en los monasterios y de una cierta presión para aprender el copto en estos. Sin entender la extensión de estos fenómenos sociolingüísticos, no se podrán valorar con exactitud los documentos que nos han llegado tanto en papiro, como en documentos literarios.

Abstract: This contribution merely attempts to make an initial approach to the linguistic situation as found in the Egyptian monastic milieu, during the 4th and 5th centuries. Various kinds of evidence point to the existence of interpreters, of groups set up according to their languages in the monasteries and to a certain pressure exerted on them to learn Coptic. The evaluation of the extension of these sociolinguistic phenomena will enable a more accurate assessment of the value of the documents that have come down to us, both in papyrus form and in literary documents.

Ángel Urbán: Nomina sacra en un ms. inédito de Lucas (Ms BnF, Suppl. gr. 911, año 1043)  

Resumen: Estudio de las abreviaturas de los nomina sacra en un manuscrito inédito fechado por el propio copista en el año 1043, que, a excepción de algunas lagunas, contiene íntegro un evangelio greco-árabe de Lucas. Se compara el sistema de abreviación con el de los papiros de los primeros ocho siglos d.C. y con el Codex Bezae Cantabrigiensis, resultando así uno de los Mss. del NT de los últimos siglos de la Edad Media que más abreviaciones presenta para los nomina sacra y con un sistema más regular.

Abstract: In this article I attempt to study the abbreviations of the nomina sacra in an unpublished MS, dated in the year 1043 by the scribe himself. The MS contains, leaving aside a few lacunae, a complete Graeco-Arabic of Luke's Gospel. I draw a comparison between its system of abbreviations and that of the papyri of the first eight centuries AD and that of Codex Bezae Cantabrigensis, thus proving one of the New Testament MSS of the late Middle Ages which shows a greater number of abbreviations for the nomina sacra whith a most regular abbreviation system.
